Privacy Policy
This website by Mark Chisnell (subsequently also referred to
by 'I' or other first-person pronouns), collects information in
two ways.
The first is through the use of Google Analytics, a web analytics
service provided by Google, Inc. ('Google'). Google Analytics
uses 'cookies', which are text files placed on your computer,
to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information
generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including
your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on
servers in the United States. Google will use this information
for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling
reports on website activity for website operators and providing
other services relating to website activity and internet usage.
Google may also transfer this information to third parties where
required to do so by law, or where such third parties process
the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate
your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse
the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your
browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be
able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this
website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google
in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
Any such information collected will also be used by Mark Chisnell
to try and improve the website. Aggregate information about website
traffic may be supplied by him to reputable third parties, but
this information will not include any personally identifying data.
The second way that information is knowingly collected by this
website is via your participation in the various social media (Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads) and the Email page, where you
can volunteer to supply a name, an email address and make a comment.
This information will only be used for my response and any further
communication from me, and for no other purposes - I will never
knowingly sell, rent or share your information with any third
party, other than by your request or to fulfill some part of our
communication.
I may retain the content of your Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads and email messages together with
your email address and my responses.
This information will be protected with the same security that
I would use to protect any written or telephone communication.
Unless you ask me not to in the Comments box on the Email page, I may subsequently contact you via email to tell you about
new work, either web or print, that I am doing.
At any time, via the Email page, you
can request that I delete completely your email address and any
correspondence that we have participated in, and opt out of any
future contact from me.
I may disclose information should I be compelled by the law to
do so.
I am not responsible for any other websites that may be linked
to by this website, or websites that may link to this one. If
I provide a link to another website it does not imply an endorsement
of that site, or its content. Should you follow a link, you are
then subject to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use of that other
website.
By using this website you consent to the collection and use of
your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
If you have any questions, please use the Email page.
